About Us

Our mission is to help dogs and their people live together in joy

Justis' story

I have always been passionate about helping animals, and especially dogs. I brought home every "stray" dog when I was small, much to the dismay of my mom. Early in life I trained as a dog groomer, and worked in a boarding kennel. Neither of these things ended up being my ultimate path, and I moved into a career in technology while living with and training my own dogs.

I became involved in obedience training, and worked with a local dog training business for a number of years before parting ways. I discovered the broader world of force free animal training and mentored with a leading dog expert in the UK, Kay Laurence. I worked through her very comprehensive trainer program, achieving TAKL  (Trainer Accredited by Kay Laurence) certification in 2018.

My interest in animal massage started with the desire to help my older dogs retain mobility and be comfortable in their senior years. Seeing my 11 year old collie, Teegan, have difficulty climbing stairs or struggling to stand up made me curious about how I could help her be more comfortable as she got older. As I started my studies, I finally felt I had found my calling and became a licensed and certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner.
